Subject:OS 3.5 Suggestions/Bugs

I got OS 3.5 way back in Oct/Nov and I just recently found this mailing list... Anyways, I sent this via email to the OS 3.5 team -- but I'm curious to hear of comments or maybe solutions to the problems/bugs. Thanks, Brian You may know about these bugs already: 1. IconEdit--Select any icon type (except Tool) in Type Menu and then New in the Project Menu, the icon in the draw window doesn't change to default icon of that type. 2. Information Requester in Workbench--Changing read bit in Information window updates the file read protection but the next time Information is selected for that icon it doesn't show the change. 3. Workbench Window in List Mode--Scrolling of Window doesn't properly update the contents if the window is a small size. 4. Pointer--My pointer doesn't have correct colors on reboot. Running Pointer Prefs and clicking Save or Use the pointer returns back to normal. (I am using a 16-bit screen on a CVPPC card)> 5. I really like the ltyle (3.1 or lower). 5. Make scroll bars on bottom and sides in Workbench window equal in propotional to size (not a flatended scroll bar on the bottom as compared to the sides. 6. THIS IS HUGE--I really would like to see the documentation updated mush better to show all the features. It is hard to figure out what is new/changed in the commands in C: (setpatch has so many more options--and what about the group and user commands--no documentation!) 7. I always wanted to see a program included with the OS similiar to ToolsDaemon where you can add items to the Tool menu of Workbench or add new Menus. (Maybe you could call it "Workbench Menu" in the Prefs drawer). 8. Update the picture for the left Amiga keyboard button shown in the Workbench menu so that it is square and not elongated in high resolution modes. 9. Update ED and MEmacs so that the menus are 3.0->3.5 style (black text with with white background--not the old 2.0 style with black background and grey the operating system. 4. Include a Disk Fix-it program that can handle the new >4 GB changes and NSD devices and a better backup program for the Hard Drive instead of HD Backup (or BRU)--by the way BRU has a Y2K bug where it shows 19100 for the year 2000 when using "bru -g" at the command prompt for a archive created in 2000.
